Good Evening Soccer Families,
I am sending out this email to update everyone on our coaching staff. With the help of the administration, I am happy to announce that after a careful and thorough application process, we will be recommending Kelsey Newman as one of our assistant coaches pending board approval. Kelsey is a lifelong soccer player and represented the Monarchs for four years back in the early 2000's. She has a pretty diverse soccer resume, but the following highlights some of her soccer experience:
Besides playing from an early age through her high school career on both school teams and club teams, Kelsey was a volunteer club coach from 2005-2010 while attending Bowling Green University. More recently, she has spent the past 5 years coaching in the capacity as a high school coach at Wauseon High School. She has served as both an assistant coach and as the head coach for the girls high school soccer team at Wauseon. Kelsey's playing experience is centered around defense and after several conversations I am confident that she will be a vital asset to our coaching staff. Kelsey is also a Spanish teacher and is currently abroad in Spain until July 30th. We will be continuing our communication through email and she will officially be joining us on August 1st for tryouts.
